I don't get any rash - not even poison ivy, Paul - but this plant will seed
around. You can cut it back to the ground once a season to keep it smaller.
I find it grows much taller than books say but, I too, think it a lovely
foliage plant. The flowers are small and yellow. You can cut them off if
you do not like them.
Sorry for you guys with the poison ivy, isn't there some new OTC remedy for
PI. It certainly can make life miserable in the garden. I used to live next
to a man who ran over it with is lawn mower once in a while and he ended up
in the hospital for breathing in the thrown up grass behind the mower.
