This year, I had one V. bonariensis overwinter - go figure, but no 
seedlings ever.  Next week I make the trek to go buy six packs (no I 
can not start anything from seed and have it live!)

I get self seeded cleome most years, but I think the early killing 
frost last fall killed the plants before the seeds were ripe.
