I am so jealous that you have any chance of over wintering salivas. Only the very hardiest have a chance here and then only a chance. My Mom who lives on Cape Cod has some luck - she is zone 6B most winters and then only barely. I've seen the "black and blue" and drooled.I once tried S. 'Argentine Skies' and it didn't make it over winter. I saw this at Plant Delights last year in the display garden and it was magnificent. I think it is marginally hardy where I am and if I'd run across it locally, would have tried it in a pot. Tony had it growing in a good amount of shade, which surprised me as I thought it required full sun, but maybe it doesn't in the south. His soil is also well amended sand, which might make a good bit of difference in its winter survival. Really knockout plants when happy. I'd be rather surprised if seed were available for either cultivar; if it did set seed, likely wouldn't come true.
