I can't help but wonder why anyone is using bonemeal at all. There are better
fertilizers available. It's not a particularly good additive for bulbs. What
are you using it for that you couldn't use something better?  What am I
missing?

I suspect the reason I use it sentiment as much as anything; I helped my grandfather load bone meal and old manure into the spreader and drove the tractor on his lap. Scattering now is a way of remembering him.

It is still considered an "organic" fertilizer.
