If you have to move it now it can be done-the plant might sulk for a year or
two. If its a small plant it will do better than a large, many stemmed clump.
This time of the year move it with a good soil ball, and water well after
moving for a few moths and provide some shade for the first month.
Some people remove all the stems before moving, can't say if this helps or
hurts in the long run because I have not done so my self.
If it's a large clump (15 stems or more) it would-be best to cut it into
pieces before digging. Some of the pieces should do well while others won't, but
the plant will do better than being moved as one large plant.
Good luck with you move.
