Seeing how we are currently on the subject of lilacs, I'll pose this
question which I've thought of often.
Here in the rainy Pacific Northwest, it is very common to see the leaf
with one side or section turned tannish-brown. This distorts the shape
of the leaf, of course.
I suspect that it is bacterial blight, but am not sure.
I've not had a lilac myself until just this year, when I found a source
for Syringa reflexa. And anyone who has ever gazed at the picture of it
in the Random House Book of Shrubs, knows how gorgeous it is.
Unfortunatly, I'm seeing a leaf or two with curling edges, turning
brown, and I have 50 of these plants that are now at risk.
Thank you.
