I looked up C. recta in the AHS plant encyclopedia this morning.
Here is their description.
Late-flowering,clump forming,herbaceous perennial with gray-green
foliage.Small,star shaped,heavily scented white flowers w/cream anthers.
Produced from midsummer to autumn. Needs support . 3 to 6ft.height, spread to
30in. Hardy zones 3-7. "Purpurea" has purple young foliage.
Herbaceous species prefer full sun.
