New England Aster

Good Morning to all,
Yesterday was spent splitting and moving a large clump of New England Aster - the new plants are about 8-10" in height - and are looking a bit droopy. Would it benefit them to trim them back a few inches? Or will some good watering and a few days in their new location do the trick?
Thanks -
