Re: vines for shade


Yes, does very well for me climbing up a post that supports the roof of our
covered walkway.  Top gets no direct sun and bottom/middle gets a few rays
in the afternoon.  Rather nice vine IMO in a quiet way; flowers are not
showy, but the blue berries are.  

And, don't forget the variegated ivies...they will climb a post in full
shade.  No flowers, but those with good variegation light up a dark area.
