Having just received my National Gardener Magazine, a bonus for
membership in the American Horticultural Society, there is quite an
extensive article on the loniceras that were brought into the states
which have become invasive weeds, choking out native flora. I have
never seen these particular honeysuckles offered commercially, and don't
sell them, either. But one person in the article was mentioned having
grown one listed as banned, which really proved to be quite safe, and
how they managed to save it (I think).
It really was an excellent article, striving to point out, also, that
many people whose job it is to eradicate, don't know the how or why of
botany and that you can successfully argue the point.
