Re: Heucheras...where to plant?
Hi Myrna,
I have several of these types of heuchera including Pewter Veil. I
place most of them in semi-shade or the east side of my house. The ones
on the east side have chelone, lilies, tree peonies, geranium spc,
monkshood and now bleeding heart and bergeria. I planted PV last year
and the leaves stayed over the year. Almost evergreen (or
silver/red/green) This year the leaves old and new are huge! It really
makes a splash. Chocolate Ruffles is tidier and more compact with lots
of color, while Purple Palace is more exposed and starts later. I think
with enough water and good drainage, they can be planted anywhere up
here in Montana.
Bye,
Ann B.
