Re: What's in bloom now that you like

Our lilacs are still going strong. The Canadian hybrid lilacs are about
2 or 3 weeks away from blooming yet but they don't smell nearly as nice.
I have some peonies open: Goody, Scout plus two tree peonies, a dark
rose red and a pale pink. Clematis alpina and macropetala 'Blue Bird'
are still going strong. My tulips and daffs are mostly gone. Bedstraw
plot is lush and green with tiny white flowers. Anemone sylvestris is
blooming great. I have a new one that is suppose to be doubled that I
just recieved. I won't see what it is like until next year. Doronicum is
almost done. And of course iris. Even some of the large hybrids are
starting to bloom. I have several centaurea montana blooming. They look
great now but get very frowzy and floppy later. Can I cut them way back
to get a compact plant again? I seem to have them where I darn well know
I didn't plant them. I need to rescue my c.dealbata from under the lilac
bush. It grows but not much bloom under there. The c.moschata is making
good growth. A lot of replacement plants have come up. I want to start
them in other places.
