Gaura in May. Wow. Here in the west of Ireland Gaura 'whirling butterflies'
is perennial (zone nineish) but won't start flowering in about late July.
It then continues until November. I would be quite happy to pay $7 for a
bouquet of the same at that time of year, which I think is the real beauty
of the plant, a real end of season charmer !
