Re: airhead

dear jeanne
I enjoyed your letter about your perennial garden. this is the first
time i have responded to any one form the list personally. i hope you
continue to enjoy your plants as much as you do now. if you haven't
already applied preen to your garden to prevent future weeds you might
want to do so. you can purchase it at any garden center or wal mart. it
comes in a yellow box with a red lid. sure wish i owned stock in the
company that manufactures it, as I recommend it to all my friends and
customers.
then normally i put down several inches of mulch or compost. in
preparation of the hot dry weather that will surely follow this wet,
rainy spell we are having in south western indiana.

shasta daisy are hardy souls and will withstand being transplanted, even
several times. I am forever changing the line up of my perennial flower
bed. and at the present time I am waiting for the Easter flowers and
tulip foliage to completely dry up and go away so i can add a few annuals
to the front of the bed. well truthfully i have already squeezed in a
few.

i wish i did have some of your shade, almost all of my beds are in full
sun. only in the two back corners of our yard do i have any shade, and
that isn't much. and it borders on a little brook (here we call it a
creek)

good luck!
Dee Ann
