Warning:  There is new evidence out that
Preen, used repeatedly, is starting to affect
woody plants in the area, their health and
performance (sorry to burst everyone's bubble --
you know what they say, if its too good to be
true ....).  Back to hand weeding.

shasta daisy are hardy souls and will withstand
being transplanted, even
several times.  I am forever changing the line up
of my perennial flower
bed.  and at the present time I am waiting for
the Easter flowers and
tulip foliage to completely dry up and go away
so i can add a few annuals
to the front of the bed. well truthfully i have
already squeezed in a
few.

i wish i did have some of your shade, almost all
of my beds are in full
sun.  only in the two back corners of our yard
do i have any shade, and
that isn't much. and it borders on a little brook
(here we call it a
creek)
