Dear Jeannne in Ohio,

I loved your post! Sounded just like my first experience at gardening. If I
could do it wrong I did. However, what a learning experience. And that is
what gardening is! An on-going learning experience. Good for you! The more
plants you kill the more questions you will answer. The more plants you keep
alive, for whatever reason, soil, sun, water, fertilizer, the more you will
learn. But the most important thing to remember when becoming a gardener,
"KEEP TRYING NEW THINGS"!!!!!!!!!!!! Don't get stuck in some rut by
convention. Grow the plants that you enjoy. Eventually you will actually
become a landscaper of your own yard. Remember, if you kill it three times,
by the fourth time you will probably have figured out how to grow it and
decided that it doesn't fit into your landscaping design. Gardening is a on-
going process, as you grow, so will your garden. Donna Adams, Detroit
