Just what I *am* planning, Myrna..thanks for bringing it up.
Here in USDA Z 8 AKA Portland OR, our summers aren't trustworthy enough
until mid July, so I am looking for fragrant plants that will be in bloom
thru July and the heat of August.
This area, in my back yard, has a west border of old Douglass firs and is
backed by a 3 season creek, so some anti mosquito plantings will
help..has anyone seen them? Offered in newspaper coupon packets..curious
what that is.
I have a flowering plum on one side of it, that will be out of flower
then, but the leaves are lovely.
There is the unknown shrub with white flower on the south side. This
backyard has just been mowed and ignored for over 20 years and just now
am I working my way back there with plans.
Since I'd like an evening garden. I will look for light blooming, such as
the white oriental Lilly mentioned previously.I might plant some fragrant
white lilac for screening, and hope that there are spring evenings that I
can take advantage of that bloom too.
I love roses and will go for them and hosta for edging, but what else?
Time to collect some posts on this.
