Keith,
We've had some of this stuff in our font lawn; well actually, in an island
in our front lawn. It came with a tree we planted there. Since it was
isolated, we just kept working at it, pulling up every single little bit of
green we could see, each and every time it emerged. I wish I could say that
that did it. It didn't. It even got into the grass in the lawn.
Eventually, we began to brush each sprout with Roundup, each time it
emerged. That finally did it, but we had to apply the Roundup more than
once. Constant vigilance is required. It finally succumbed.
I've seen (or heard) of a method that includes two different types of
herbicide. And they need to be applied at two different times of the
growing season. One works only when the plant is actively growing.
betty
ps. I think I owe you a response -- klg is a mutual friend, I believe?
