Sorry, it was about 30 miles from here and hung over the porch which suggests
to me that it wasn't in a protected spot.

Thank you very much for the info.
Looked up my Wayside catalog. It refers to the C. Grandiflora as Chinese
Trumpet Creeper. It lists zones 6-9. But we don't want to pay $29.95 ea.
plus shipping. They have such a beautiful catalog!! But I don't understand
how they can stay in business with such very high prices. How many people
would pay that much for something sight unseen.
They offer 'Mme. Galen' for only $5 less which I paid $8 for a
gallon-size plant that was in bloom. Do you have any idea how Wayside can
get people to pay $25 for the same plant? Have you ever ordered anything
from Wayside? I can understand the heft price tag for something rare or
delicate but not for something common.
I hadn't noticed Bignonia 'Tangerine Beauty' (Crossvine) listed right
below Campsis.
Thank you for your offer to look through your catalogs for the
'Grandiflora.' I appreciate the offer and whenever you have the time would
be fine.
	TIA and Best Wishes --
