Most likely its frost damage
the Allium tend to come up very early and the leaves freeze in late frost.
When this happens you see white tips or blotches on the leaves, more so on
the top of the leaves were the leaves first came out of the ground.
If the plants did not come out of the ground with this damage then they are
going dormant. This is normal for many of the Alliums.
Some go dormant as they flower, others right after flowering, others after
seed set, others Before the bloom and some when fall comes.
A great group of plants, I have tried about 40 diffrent kinds and I like the
short ones myself.
