RE: hosta


You mentioned that hosta leaves wither if divided this time of year.  I find
I can avoid that by putting upside down containers over the divided hostas
for a few days to a week, and watering daily.  I often use empty plant
containers for that (leftovers from garden purchases).  Or old cardboard
boxes.
