Re: Lysimachia ciliata Firecracker

Hi Louise,

This loosestrife is a runner, but it is relatively easy to pull out to keep
its size manageable. I love the emerging purplish foliage. Does revert to
green in summer, but it is a plant that I am quite fond of. I have it in a
bed with heliopsis (repeating the yellow), fallopia, sedum 'Vera Jameson', a
gray leafed dianthus, Aquilegia 'Woodside' (again yellow foliage), and a
Spirea 'Gold Flame'. One of my favorite parts of the garden.

Good luck.
