I planted my first foxglove last year, in a new perennial garden, behind
a lovely white campannula..the camp. didn't make it over winter for some
reason and I thought the foxglove was a weed..pulled them out in handfuls
till I finally had a few plants left that I saved, just in case. They
are beautiful! But so!! prolific that I am very glad I thought it was a
weed.
Columbine now, I save the seeds of and plant out in the wooded part of my
yard (the native ones) I have found the hybrids don't seem to spread
nearly as much as the natives.
