thanks again for the advice. Hollyhocks may grow like weeds for you,
I think they either hate me or my garden. I have tried for several
years to grow them, but have never had any success ......
one year I bought 9 at my local nursery, I had 2 to survive, then
wanted to relocate them and they died on me.
since you mentioned it I remember them growing around the outhouse.
that is a great idea. If I could persuade my husband to build a very
small building that looks like an outhouse and plant my hollyhocks
around it then maybe they would feel at home and would flourish for
me. (ha ha)
I'm gonna plant them in the garden today and hope for the best.
