on the subject of daffodils I have a lots and lots of them and I
wait until they recline and some of the leaves are already turning
yellow by then and I cut them back.
My husband used to mow them down right after blooming then I
learned, that was a no, no. that's the reason they wouldn't bloom
very much the next season. so live and learn. this works in my zone
7, but yours might be differant.
