I have whatever the common witchhazel is - and it is interesting each year
to see if the leaves drop before it blooms. Some years I go out and shake
the branches to get the leaves off in order to see the flowers better. This
year in s. Wisconsin we had an early freeze and several windy days, and the
leaves are all off and I can now enjoy the bloom which started about 4 days
ago! It's a delight to have something to enjoy in the brown landscape.
