identify

I saw a plant in the back yard of a house I looked at last week.  Thought I
knew what it was, and it turned out I was off-base.  It's a glossy dark
green foliage plant, very round leaves like a Ligularia dentata with yellow
spots on some of the leaves. The size of a hosta.  I know I've seen this
before, does this ring a bell?
