Re: Wisteria

Wisteria will grow in sheltered places in zone 4.
There are some in Minneapolis and I just visited a lady who had a good sized
wisteria in Hastings. (Along the border of Minnesota and Wisconsin)
Wisteria is one of those plants that do not bloom to well when the plants are
too happy, but once in "thinks" it's life is threatened they will flower
profusely.

Plants are native to moist woodland settings in China and Japan. Plants
should Not be eaten they are poisonous, the floribunda and sinensis
cultivores are the most commonly grown but there are other species. (up to 12
I think)
