Oops, just found another one in Springhill-- a Brownell, 'Climbing Show
Garden', flowers open crimson and age to magenta, rated to zone 3. This
one and the other two are supposed to get 10 feet tall and repeat bloom.
They also have a whole section of Brownell hybrid teas.
Wayside's fall catalogue has 'American Pillar', a rambler, with
"clusters of carmine-pink blooms accented by white eyes". Blooms once,
reaches 15-20 feet. 1-800-845-1124

/This brings back memories of childhood. We had a rambler in one corner of
our yard which we called the Pillar rose. It had beautiful single
blossoms, rosy-pink, something like a wild rose in shape, but larger and a
much deeper pink. Haven't heard of this rose in many years.

I second that on New Dawn, if you can grow it there it is a gorgeous
rose.
