Dear Barb:

Yes, I agree lisianthus is slow to grow. Additionally, my garden reference
books state that it is very difficult to grow from seed. I have mine in a pot
which is still doing fine on a protected porch. I plan on bringing it indoors
and moving it soon to my mother's small indoor greenhouse. They were slow to
grow this summer but I attribute that to the climate. They should do well if
given enough light. If not, it can't hurt to try if you really enjoy the
plant. I've purchased them in cut flower form which are very tall and full but
mine didn't grow tall. Still under 12", but alive.

I think the blooms are great. Give it a whirl.
