This will horrify some people but I use a strongish solution of
glyphosate(many know this as Roundup) in a small handsprayer, using VERY
low pressure and a coarse spray setting so that the droplets are too
large for any wind drift, as I live in a very wind part of the world.
I just zap each weed as I see it. It is necessary only to hit part of
the plant and quite easy to avoid the garden plants.
Any accidental spraying of these is immediatly rectified by drenching
with water from a watering can kept ready.
I can cover a half acre of garden in half an hour in this way.
