Easter Lilies
As long as we're on the subject of Easter Lilies...
After years of looking at them in catalogs, I purchased a variety of lily
called Casa Rosa, which appears to be the same variety as the common Easter
Lily (L. longiflorum).
I've potted them up and they are now chilling.
My questions: Do they need the same chill requirements as the tulips, etc.
planted for forcing, i.e. 12 to 16 weeks? Also, how long should allow from
bringing them into warmth to bloom time? I don't know the date of Easter
2000, but I'd like, if possible to time them to bloom then - or is it
already too late to do that?
