RE: Japanese Anemones



In fact my Japanese anemones (and the vitifolia) are perfectly hardy here in 
my garden which is theoretically zone 4a, but may range anywhere from that 
to 6a depending on the winter.  We do usually have some snow cover but mine 
have survived several winters where there was no snow over them and 
temperatures dropped to -30 C.
The only ones I have ever lost have been plants I put in too late in the 
fall that didn't get well enough established.
