Forcing bulbs/living another year

I pulled out some of my pots to force bulbs in (on top of rocks), fully
prepared to toss the old bulbs who have had no water all summer and some of
them have green coming up!
Will they actually FLOWER or just make greens??? They are daffodils and
hyacinth.
