I find this very interesting as the temps here reach the nineties for weeks
and dont seem to have the same problem ..
Perhaps too much summer rain there ?we are very dry here for many months.
Surprized they came up planted at 12-14"..
Their origins were cold winters long hot dry summers.(of course this was the
species not the hybrids of today)
