Re: Compost and weeds

Marya talked about hot composting in garbage bags and said:

Now that sounds like a keen idea! I'm a lazy composter, too. Don't worry
about the carbon/nitrogen mix (well, it gets nitrogen in summer...), don't
turn it or water it. As a result, my compost never cooks, and takes a
couple of years for a pile to finish (and then there are still some
uncomposted things that I just toss into the current pile. So, there are
some things I just don't put in the compost heap (bermuda grass and
bindweed) because they won't die! Much as I hate to admit it, they go into
the garbage. Next time I have a garbage bag full of bindweed, I may try
adding some shredded leaves and compost and see what happens.

yard last night, so I appear to be safe for the next week or so.
