Re: Fall clean up: bare ground or leaves?


I always ended up with a sludgy glunked slimy matted carpet of leaves in the
Spring, so I bought one of those electric mulch/vac tools.
Now I mulch all those leaves and then put them back where they came from.
Seems to make for very happy plants in the Spring and lots of worms.

  Definitely bare ground for iris beds at least-if you don't want iris
  borers, that is. They breed in the debris.
