Gold Fountains Carex is wonderful in containers here in zone 6b. In fact several are really good in containers. Have you looked at your native plant sites to see how many Carexs, Carexes or Carex are local for you? The only problem I am having is whether they take sun or shade. That is a trial and error hunt. At 2 local wildflower nurseries this fall I found several new blue Carex. I will see if they like moisture , shade, dry, or sun. The places in my woodland await them. Nancy
