Hi,
I got the most recent crop of sages from Papa Genos
(www.papagenos.com).
The peach is slightly different from the pineapple in scent (more
peachy). The leaves look the same, maybe a little lighter in color.
The blooms are the same. Actually, I was hoping the plants would be
more different than they are. The flavor (in iced tea) is also very
similar.
We got down to about 30 degrees last night, and everything seems to
have survived. I'll need to do my damage assessment tonight (I hate
this holding off the frost routine!). The neighbors had to wonder
about the glowing tent over my tomatoes and herbs! But I think with a
couple of lightbulbs and a thick tarp with the edges tucked in, I kept
the temperature about 40 degrees.
Peggy
