Barb,
I know the list is slow isn't it? I have worked for the past three weeks
(Saturday & Sundays) removing, replanting, revamping & buying!
I am on this daylily thing now, and oh yes, roses. Last week I bought a
daylily called (I think) Hull's Pink and something called Solidaster.
Yesterday I went to Frank's nursery and bought a Crocosmia "Lucifer," it was
33% off and I didn't have one, so bought it. Also have been buying hostas and
basically anything I didn't have already.
My hubby is out there sweating now as we are putting in a 10 x 16 garden
(veggie) for next year. He is building an enclosure so Clyde doesn't mess it
up (oh yeah, Clyde is our Akita). I think he is a little miffed that we are
shrinking his territory. My husband is talking about putting flower boxes on
the front and already I am thinking of planting Morning Glory to cover the
wire mess fence. So now during my "off" gardening time I will be perusing the
catalogs. I will probably plant annuals among the veggies.....oh it just
never ends!
I still have some things blooming, asters, zinnias, lavender, roses. The bees
are working hard before the cold really sets in, and the dragon flies, I don't
remember seeing so many this time of year. They are one of my favorite
insects. Well, that's what I have been up to (besides cramming for insurance
courses, maintaining my own mailing list, and volunteering transcribing for a
genealogical website..well, you get the picture...So what has everyone else
been doing???
