I used to garden without gloves, but working in a 'corporate' building, I
decided my grass-stained, dirt under cuticles had to go. So now I wear
gloves. However, my nails are short and use clear polish. I use LOTS of
handcream. Every once in a while I happen to be wandering around without my
gloves and start picking here, deadheading there and have to go in with my
trusty nail brush..scrub, scrub, scrub!
