You know, a few years ago, one of my co-workers told someone she could
always tell when spring had arrived by looking at my fingernails!
My nails actually do grow well (someone mentioned it might be the
fertilizer?) but I try to keep them a manageable length so there's less
space to trap dirt! You know, I try really hard to wear gloves; I have
about 3 pair stashed here and there, but I don't wear them as often as I
should. You know how it goes: you walk out to the mailbox, and notice
a few weeds in the flower bed, so you stop to pull them up...an hour
later, there you are with enough dirt under your nails to start
seedlings!
I like the idea of soap under the nails. Of course, that does require a
little advance planning! I also use a nail whitening pencil. That
helps quite a bit.
