Dee Ann and Everyone with dirty knees and broken, dirty nails.
Sometimes I long for the beautiful nails I used to have before I
was a gardener. (Heavy sighs). Until 3 months ago, my "other" job was that
of a surgical nurse. Now you know, no speck of dirt (however valiantly
acquired) is allowed on ones hands or, God forbid, under ones nails! I would
scrub my hands and nails with a stiff brush and bleach water creating a
terrible case of Lobster hands, but it did the job. I'm happy I no longer
have to resort to such drastic methods. Now, I just wash dishes or my hair
(as someone else mentioned) and hope the stains will fade during the winter.
At least when it gets cold enough, wearing warm gloves will be a great
disguise! Marilyn
