I'm hoping that with your hosta expertise you can help me out: Can you
recommend a smallish hosta that has leaves that curve almost down to the
ground? I put Halcyon -- a favorite of mine -- at the edge of a 4-1/2
foot retaining wall, but because the leaves don't come close enough to
the ground, we end up noticing the dirt underneath the plant more than
I'd like. I'd like a smaller plant that sweeps the ground (but in the
best of all worlds, one that isn't too tasty to slugs). Variegated
would be great.

Always on the look out for other hosta lovers. I got the bug two years
ago
even though I have been gardening for over 20 years. Here is a favorite
hosta
site. http://www.pal-mello.com/hosta/index.html . Love to talk about
favorite
plants
I have over 60 plants currently and planning on buying over 100 plants
in the
next few years. I have found that there is really a difference in
quality of
plants. Some plants are alot choicer than others. Have you seen
guacamole,
sagae, green piecrust, supernova, sunpower, fragrant bouquet to name a
few.
They are wonderful. What plants do you love?
