I'm not sure the type of hydrangeas that I have but I read that next
years flowers bloom on this years wood. I made the mistake of cutting them
back the first year & no blooms that spring. Last fall I left them alone & got
tons of flowers this year. I also cut off all the flowers right before they
lost there color & brought them inside to dry. They make beautiful
arrangements.
