Hi Dee Ann
I am in zone 7 in the high mountains of southern California. Winters mostly
in the 20's although we have gotton down to 5 degrees F. and summers in the
high 90's. I have found that spring is the best for transplanting and
propagating everything except Iris and hardy Geraniums. Filipendulas,
Astilbes, and Monksood seem to do the best when dormant. I would enjoy
hearing experiences from anyone in a similar climate.
Lillian
