HEY,
Let the man put his tulips where he wants! I love it when my husband
says he even likes one of the flowers I have. There's nothing worse
than to be criticizeded for your taste in gardening, it is a PERSONAL
preference kind of thing. If he is showing an interest, let him do it
his way, eventually he will figure it out.
We have a runoff ditch threw the middle of the front yard, which my
husband started rocking up several years ago. After three summers of
hard work,... hours of looking for just the right rock to fit.... sneak
attacks by snakes and black widows most of it is finished, it would be
done, if not for a well meaning gardening "expert" who not so subtlety
told him he SHOULD HAVE done it this way.
It has taken years to get him involved but because of my love for
gardening and his love of hot peppers, our vegetable garden is a marvel
to behold. My husband is a composting master, we have have twelve bins
that he takes so much pride in. What I'm trying to say is that one word
of discouragement can do more harm than a row of purple tulips ever
could!
