How right you are Marilyn! Today I went out and did a little more pruning. I
didn't mention I have a Phlox that has decided to bloom. This is one that I
planted in early September, it had some buds on it but didn't think anything
will happen. I am pleased with the color as well-a soft pink along the outer
edges of the petals.
I have left the seed heads of the Black eyed Susan, I think they look kind of
neat. Most of my Zinnias alas have gone kaput, except for a tangerine one.
Have you noticed how some bees just rest on the plant until the sun hits them
and they are warm enough to move? I usually see a couple early in the morning
that seem as though they are sleeping. Once warmed up they are all over the
Lavender.
Lady bug, Lady bug, where have you been? They are all over my house, that's
where. I got a jar and put about 20 or so that were in my living room window,
curtains, mini blinds...back outside for you. One flew right back into the
house! Thought they'd be happier outside, oh well....
Well, the clocks turned back, the sun is starting to set. Another day gone.
