Hi everyone,
Katie, you must live in a different part of the Portland area than I do. I
live in Milwaukie, which is south, and we haven't had a frost yet. I think
it was 40 one night, but that's been it.
I still have a lot blooming: Asters, Shasta daisies, forget-me-nots
(Myositis), cyclamen, verbena, dianthus (a couple of varieties, including
'Sweet William'), and a couple of Pac NW wildflowers. Also Nigella,
alyssum, lobelia, and marigolds (annuals).
My hostas are also 'melting', alas. But I love autumn so much, it just
seems part of the plan, and well worth it.
