Dear List Members:
I forget who offered seeds at last summer's end for a hollyhock
'Blackberry Swirl'. But I took advantage of the offer, the seeds arrived
and were planted. We had such a prolonged fall last year that
substantial growth occurred and I've enjoyed a couple short stalks this
year. The flower has a dark purple center on white petals.
Today in cleaning up some of the beds, there was a new stalk blooming
with some deep fuschia cosmos and the combination is stunning.
Thanks to whoever sent the seeds!
